Thank you for choosing Y Spa at The Waterfront Hotel for your visit.

We have compiled the following information to help you maximise your visit.

Prior to arrival
Although we cannot guarantee timings prior to your visit, we recommend pre-booking any additional treatments prior to arrival, your inclusive treatments will be pre-arranged within the time frames of a standard day or stay package. Treatments on day packages start as early as 10.00 am and for Stopover spa stays at 4.00 pm on the day of arrival.  We endeavour to do our very best to accommodate all requests, therefore should you have a timing preference or need to leave earlier or arrive later please let us know in advance to save disappointment on the day.

What to do when you arrive
For all our Day Spa guests we ask you to come straight to the Y Spa Reception located in the Hotel just passed the main Hotel Reception. Stay Spa guests are asked to check in at the Main Hotel Reception first.

On arrival at Y Spa Reception you will be given your spa wrist band on which a spa account can be opened by pre-authorising a debit or credit card to save you having to carry cash around the spa for drinks.

Our friendly team will then give you a schedule of your appointments and lunch in order that you are comfortable with your planned day.  You will be shown to the luxury changing areas where a locker, containing your fluffy robe and slippers, will be assigned to you for your use. These areas also have hairdryers, showers and hair care products and we can lend you hair straighteners should you need them.  Should you wish to use the Thermal Spa facilities, you will need to bring your own bathing costume, or maybe two as we know once is never enough in the thermal waters.

We recommend you wear underwear and robe to all face and body treatments and maybe dress before your manicure and pedicure to avoid smudging. We have a beautiful treatment lounge for you to relax in before or after your therapies and recommend you make your way upstairs 10 minutes before your appointment, snuggle under a blanket or sway in the contemporary rocking chair and your Y Spa therapist will whisk you away.

Treatment only guests
We are open for treatment only booking 7 days a week.  If you are joining us at Y Spa for an individual treatment rather than one of our packages, we ask you to arrive at Y Spa Reception at least 10 minutes prior to your first appointment. 

All treatments are performed in a private therapy room and we supply hangers for your clothes. We do not supply robes, slippers and lockers to guests visiting for treatments. Please be on time for your treatments, as we would not like to disappoint you with reduced time being available or having to cancel your treatment. Use of the Thermal Spa is included in all Day and Stay packages and not with individual treatments booked. A supplement will apply if you wish to use the Thermal Spa outside of a Day or Stay package.

Refreshments and Dining
A 2 course lunch is served with all Day Spa Packages and selected Stay Spa Packages. Other refreshments and a selection of smoothies and beverages are available from the Spa Café.  However rest assured our spa guests dine separately so you can stay comfortably in your robe.  We do  ask out of respect for other guests you dry fully before dining.

Stopover spa lunches will be within your full spa day whether this is taken prior to your stopover or after. Please ensure you have chosen the day for your spa experience.

Medical Advice
Should you have or have had a medical condition please ensure that you include this in your Health Questionnaire before arrival or raise it in person before making your booking. In some cases it may be advisable to speak to your doctor prior to treatments. On booking please advise us if you have any allergies in order that we may recommend suitable therapy.

Y Spa is delighted to welcome mothers to be and have designed a range of wonderful therapies to suit you.  Please ensure you advise the reservations team that you are expecting and the gestation period that you will be at the time of your treatments, so they can ensure that you are having the best experience.

Please note that general medical advice for mothers to be throughout pregnancy is to avoid use of the heat facilities, this means the hydrotherapy pool, steam and saunas will be unavailable to you.

We have wonderful relaxation areas containing water beds and the big sleep loungers and maybe it's the best time to indulge in some sumptuous treatments during your visit. Please contact us should you have any questions prior to making your booking.

Personal Belongings
We provide wonderful spacious lockers for all your personal effects, however, we cannot take responsibility for the loss of any belongings or jewellery, so we ask you to leave all your precious things at home for the day.



We hope all our guests enjoy the most wonderful, relaxed calm surroundings and we rely on all guest to be mindful of each other.

As we are British we ask that swimming costumes be worn in the Thermal Spa experiences for the general comfort of everyone around.

Age Policy
Y Spa is open to over 18s only.

For the comfort of all our guests, The Hotel and Spa are smoke free areas.  A designated smoking area outside is available.

Mobile Phones
Whilst enjoying your day of relaxation and in order to get the most from it, please be prepared not to use your mobile phone while in the spa.

Personal Belongings
Whilst we do provide wonderful spacious lockers for all your personal effects we cannot take responsibility for the loss of any belongings or jewellery, so we ask you to leave all your precious things at home for the day.

Our Cancellation Policy 
All pre-payments for packages are non-refundable in the event of a cancellation. Every endeavour will be taken to change the date of your booking to another date providing the request  is made within one week prior to your original booking.

Wyboston Lakes reserves the right to change, amend, alter or withdraw any Day or Stay Package or any treatments without prior notification.

Use Of The Thermal Spa

Use of the Thermal Spa is included in all Day and Spa Stay packages and not with individual treatments booked. A supplement will apply if you wish to use the Thermal Spa outside of a Day or Stay package.
